Travel

Interests

Having experienced first-hand how male-dominated the wildlife cinematography industry still is, Anna joined the Wildlife Camerawoman Community, who advocate for both women and gender minorities in the industry. Anna is passionate about inspiring underrepresented individuals into a life in the wild, specifically behind the camera.

Background and Qualifications

Anna studied English Literature (BA Hons) at the University of Bristol and spent an initial six years behind the camera in ‘human’ based television. However, a year spent working in wildlife television in Argentina sparked a desire to do what she could for the planet.

Anna changed track and fully retrained to focus on natural history programming. She took university modules in Biology and qualified as both a rebreather diver (rEvo system) and an HSE art IV commercial diver. Anna also now holds a Professional Underwater Camera Operator diploma from the Liquid Motion film school in Mexico, as well as a BCAP qualification in ropes canopy access.

Anna is half Greek and speaks both Greek and Spanish proficiently.
